Complete 101 pre-set tasks in a period of 1001 days. Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part). For
mission101, with some shamelessly gakked from jenwryn's list - which kicked me into posting mine - as they were good goals! <lj-cut>

54 and 58 are the same.
And what ten German Movies are you going to watch?
73: Oh, Babylon 5. That was a lovely show....
89 - get this done, and then get it written in November for National Novel Writing Month. It's a BLAST.
Good luck! I hope you get it all done!
Well, the wording is loose enough I don't have to watch German films, just films in German but I should really try to watch actual original German films really shouldn't I, for extra fun - after I've learnt enough conversational German (#29). There's a famous German scifi parody film I'd heard of and another german film with Dirk Benedict my other half bought, but apart from that I shall have to get some recommended by my german friends. :D
Yes, Babylon 5. I watched bits and bobs growing up but never all at once and it being a cult classic I feel I simply must watch ALL of it for completeness. :D
The writing of the novel for 89 will have to go for 2009 NaNo as it'd be WAY too difficult conflicting with with 77 fic novel that goes Aug-November this year. Definitely good for NaNo though, especially with my plotting beforehand. :D
Hmm, I seem to be grinning a lot. I'll take that as a sign this is all a good idea lol.
Grinning is a good thing. Best of luck on those!
The Dirk Benedict film is "Goldene Zeiten" and I think the other is "Traumschiff Surprise - Periode 1".
I'm with you on #96. #31 sounds hard. With #34 how many jumps does that mean you'll be doing at the end of three years? Because that sounds a bit like you might be doing thousands by the end. :s
31 I may fail on but I'd like to try. I think I'd probably count day trips to somewhere other than mine or their home towns as counting. So holiday is a bit open there, I could change it to spend a day with instead. With my mum it'd be no problem. For my dad it's probably more difficult but I think maybe I could try for convincing him to come sailing somewhere as he used to do that when he was younger and I'd like to learn about it.
lol! Okay I see where we got mixed up a bit - some of your numbering overlaps (although I figure you might know that because we still end on 101 ;) ) I was most definitely referring to the junk food one being hard (I can't manage a week let alone a month!) rather than the going on holiday with your parents which in 3 years I should imagine would be doable somehow. :)
Anyhow, the junkfood yeah...I've managed 3 weeks with no alcohol but sweets are much harder. If I count chips too and convenience food then it will be uber hard but a good detox for my body hopefully.
How 'bout going for something simpler first like no sweets and/or no crisps and if you can do that go for a no chips/convenience food as well? I think you'd probably do yourself a disservice cutting out everything junk food related you're used to suddenly and it's setting yourself up for major food cravings/failing.
Personally, when I'm trying to eat better, I try (usually fail but anywhere around 8 is good) to eat 10 portions of fruit and of veg a day skewed slightly towards the veg. Then if I've hit my target and I'm still hungry I can go and buy some junk food to eat but really with that much fruit and veg there's no room left! But it isn't the same as saying I can't have any junk food at all, it just makes it pretty unlikely I'll want it because dude! Plus it takes serious work to make that many portions of fruit and veg into a bland, uncolourful and unhealthy diet.
If you're going to be buying some raspberries consider seeing if you can get an earlier summer fruiting variety and a later summer/autumn one. My parents have a later fruiting one that fruits mid summer to early/sometimes well into autumn depending on the weather. (ZOMG I'm so preachy today, feel free to beat me over the head with the nearest book. I promise to stop it!)
The strawberries should be very doable in a year! :D
Edited at 2008-08-26 10:44 pm (UTC)
And yeah, I'm gonna see about getting a few varieties of raspberries to extend the fruiting season across them - I think May-October is possible. :D
Also hoping to do the same for strawberries, if they'll be selling those plants then. I went to the garden centre on Monday and got told I was a month early for the fruits and that they'd have everything you could possibly want in October.
So I'm hoping for a few more varieties of strawberry to pot into my lovely terracotta strawberry pot. :)
I already have a tayberry bush which I need to weave around my new trellis somehow but it is all thorny. :/
Oooh and I think I read somewhere blueberry plants can be grown in pots, and it'd be cool if the gooseberry plants could be too.
My favourites are 34, .... hang on! I've just noticed you've got loads of duplicated numbers (and now I'm wondering if you've got loads more than 101 ;) )
My favourites are:
34. Finish Christmas shopping by end of November. (0/3)
31. No junk-food for one month, every three months. (0/11)
and the entire education section.
You should totally do the blue tipped hair as the first one :D
The Christmas shopping one I think I managed one year but not last and I should do simply because buying anything in December seems uber stressful.
The no junk-food and no alchool got combined, and hard as I reckon it will be, the detox should be good - I'll just have to distract myself with pampering n stuff instead of comfort food. ;)
Trouble with the blue tipped hair is I don't know how the tell I can do that, with multitones. I need to locate a person or hairdressers that are good for challenging less usual hairdyeing. Also I might need to try when my hair is longer for maximum powness of the effect. :D
Nevermind. Maybe we can just poke each other now and then...! :D
(And, for the record, you seem really rather productive yourself, hence me thinking that you'd be better at it than I! Funny, eh?)
Just attempting to start mine now :)
(
You do know that your list now stops at 29?!Ok - some weird thing has happened with your coding! Outside of the lj-cut is 30-onwards, but once you click the cut, you can only see 1-29. ODD!
I was gonna use them as inspiration hehe)

My favorites were Sonnenalle, and Goodbye Lenin. We actually also watched Emile und die Detektive and Das Boot. Goodbye Lenin is one I really recommend--I was a big fan of it. Sonnenalle I actually liked a lot better, but it's very difficult cause some of the actors speak with heavy dialect.
Also, if you want someone to babble at in German, look me up. :3 A number of my friends speak German as well. -nodnod-
"Goldene Zeiten"
"Traumschiff Surprise - Periode 1"
Other than that I hadn't got any more ideas. I saw Goodbye Lenin with English subtitles (and loved it, wanted to rewatch sometime anyway) so might use that as a starter German film without the subtitles, that way I have some idea of the context which might help for the first to watch.
I'll definitely keep the other 3 recommendations in mind. I guess it depends which I can get hold of in German too.
Also, if you haven't seen it yet, Run Lola Run/Lola Rennt is a good staple German movie. 'Tis a pretty common one. :)
